In Sorte Diaboli is the seventh album of the band.It can easily be the best black metal album of 2007.ISD is a Conceptual story based album.The story is about a priest in Medieval age who realizes that god has nothing to do with his destiny(something similar or almost similar to this story :) ) The Medieval touch the band has given is great.This album is a bit heavier in terms of guitar and also to some extent drums.Shagrath has done a great job,this proves why he is such a great singer...Vortex has done a great job too as always!The intro part of the first track The Serpentine offering is awesome and it builds up,my fav track from the album.

All in all I loved this album. Glad that the band has made a good album.I liked the video of Serpentine offering.
What i like the most in this album is the vocal parts and symphonic stuff!
Overall a great album.My ratings-9.5/10

SUMMONING

SUMMONING

Summoning is an Austrian band.They play Black/Atmospheric/Epic Metal.
Most of their works are heavily influenced by JRR Tolkien's works.Almost all the lyrics they write is bout tolkien's lord of th rings..They are also know as Tolkein Metal band

Their second album Minas Morgul is arguably their best work so far..They have released aroun 6 to 7 albums so far and my fav album is their 2001 release Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your fame..
Check out the song Mirdautas vras from their latest album Oathbound 2006,I'm very sure that you wouldn't have heard a song like this 'coz this is the only song entirely written in the BLACK SPEECH!

I like this band very much,i like their atmospheric music,..i feel like being in a cold breezy mountain whenever i listen to their songs!!!well it's atmospheric music,isnt it?

The track list of this album seems to be very interesting.considering the fact that the album is a Concept album..i personally like conceptual kinda stuff!The video of "The serpentine offering" is great IMO.i feel this album will be a good one!

I came to know Marduk and Mayhem are releasing albums soon! that'd be great!!!

Black metal nd me!

Black metal! I've been listening to black metal since a year now! I started with Dimmu Borgir and was mostly into Symphonic Black metal stuffs.I got into folk metal,atmospheric black metal and other sub-genres of black metal..
Dimmu,Summoning,Finntroll,Ensiferum,kovenant,Arcturus are the bands to mention a few that i got into...Dimmu BOrgir is my fav band!!
I started to like Viking history which made me to know more about vikings which also led me to get into bands like Bathory,enslaved,Thyrfing and more recently Amon Amarth..
Admist exploring symphonic black metal bands i also got into old-school and Black metal bands too..needless to mention their names here but i'm still getting into black metal!I feel i'm still new to Black metal....

Black metal definitely rules!!!
